Inauguration of two plaques on additional houses
In Vöhl, plaques with information about Jewish families are being affixed to houses formerly inhabited by them. Thirteen plaques have been installed so far, and this year another two will be added. This will take place at the House at Mittelgasse 3, the former home of the Jewish David Stern family, and at the House at Arolser Str. 23, formerly the home of the Jewish Salomon Kugelmann family. We’ll meet at the synagogue at 10 a.m. From there, we’ll walk together to the houses on the upper Mittelgasse and on Arolser Straße. The unveiling ceremonies will be accompanied by background music and a speech by Member of the Bundestag Dr. Philipp Rottwilm.

QR codes direct mobile phone owners to the Vöhler Synagogue website, where they can access a family tree containing many biographies of former residents. These signs serve as a reminder of Vöhl's large Jewish community and commemorate the Jews who emigrated or were murdered.
Following the inauguration, we invite you to join us for refreshments and welcoming remarks in the synagogue. Please register at:
